Custom Woodworks

Hello!  My name is Brenon Plourde (Buzz).  I have been building things since I was a little kid.  Some of my favorite childhood memories are visiting my grandparents.  My grandfather was a hobbyist woodworker with a small shop in the basement.  The first thing I always wanted to do was go down into the shop and make something.  I would plan out what I wanted to make before I even got there.  My earliest project that I have a picture of is a helicopter we made out of pine when I was about 5 years old.  I still own and use the hammer I am holding in the picture.  Today, I am lucky enough to be a woodworker!

I have been milling and drying my own lumber for many years.  In New England we are lucky enough to have an ample supply of Cherry, Walnut, Maple, Oak, Ash and many others.  The majority of my furniture is from materials I milled and dried.  More often than not I harvested the tree myself from my own property.

In 2020 I finally built my own solar kiln to dry my own milled lumber.  It works fantastic, I wish I built it years ago.  Sawmilling and the solar kiln are often featured on my social media accounts. 

My woodworking is done with a combination of hand tools and power tools.  You will often find me using hand planes and chisels as well as a tablesaw and cnc.  Whatever gets the job done best!
